Salat and Hajj during Menstruation of women.

A good believing woman once said to me:

"God commanded married couples to abstain from sexual intercourse during the woman's menstruation (2:222🐓). Yet our Merciful God, who gave us the gift of worshipping Him to nourish our souls, has never deprived man nor woman of worshipping Him at any time (except in the case of being intoxicated, 4:43🦋)."

She added :

"What authority does a man give himself to deprive a woman from observing her Salat, fasting or indeed coming anywhere near a Masjid during menstruation? What authority does a man have to call us dirty during these days, when in fact, we are merely going through a cycle devised by God Himself, not any different from any other cycle of the body? Is it not through God's design that the initial growth of every man inside his mother's womb stems from that very same blood that is now used to label us 'dirty'! Please show me any justification or rationale in this idiocy."

In actual fact, I could not give her an answer! The only answer I had was that I am a man who is indeed totally ashamed of other ignorant men who call themselves Muslims yet they readily twist, distort and corrupt God's words to dominate and keep their women under subjection.

Their claim that these restrictions come from the teachings of the prophet is yet another great insult to the integrity of the prophet of God. The prophet of God was commanded by God to follow the Quran and nothing else (46:9🍒 and 5:48💥), and thus the prophet would never teach what is in contradiction to the Quran.

These corrupted restrictions rob women of their rightful duty to worship God for up to seven days in every month. In the unlucky event of the woman menstruating during the Hajj days, and by depriving her of her duty to observe her Prayers, they prevent the woman from completing her Hajj rituals.

Those with any degree of intelligence would surely know that God would never deprive any human being of the benefit of Prayer due to a bodily cycle that is designed by God Himself!

The law in 4:43🦋 which forbids a person from observing the Salat while intoxicated is quite understandable, for in such a state a person would not know what they are saying, plus the fact that becoming intoxicated is the fault of the person. However, what is the fault of a woman going through menstruation to be deprived of the gift of worshipping her Creator?

وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْمَحِيضِ ۖ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَاعْتَزِلُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي الْمَحِيضِ ۖ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَطْهُرْنَ ۖ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَأْتُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

আৰু সিহঁতে তোমাক হায়েজ সম্পৰ্কে প্ৰশ্ন কৰে, কোৱা, ‘ই এবিধ অশুচি’। এতেকে তোমালোকে হায়েজ অৱস্থাত স্ত্ৰী-সংগমৰ পৰা বিৰত থাকা আৰু পৱিত্ৰ নোহোৱালৈকে (সংগমৰ বাবে) সিহঁতৰ নিকটৱৰ্তী নহ’বা। তাৰ পিছত সিহঁতে যেতিয়া উত্তমৰূপে পৰিশুদ্ধ হ’ব তেতিয়া সিহঁতৰ ওচৰত ঠিক তেনেকৈ গমন কৰিবা যেনেকৈ আল্লাহে তোমালোকক আদেশ দিছে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহে তাওবাকাৰীসকলক ভাল পায় আৰু সিহঁতকো ভাল পায় যিসকলে অধিক পৱিত্ৰতা অৰ্জন কৰে।

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَقْرَبُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنْتُمْ سُكَارَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَعْلَمُوا مَا تَقُولُونَ وَلَا جُنُبًا إِلَّا عَابِرِي سَبِيلٍ حَتَّىٰ تَغْتَسِلُوا ۚ وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ مَرْضَىٰ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا

হে মুমিনসকল! তোমালোকে নিচাগ্ৰস্ত অৱস্থাত মুখেৰে যি কোৱা তাক নজনালৈকে ছালাতৰ নিকটৱৰ্তী নহ'বা, আৰু জুনুবী (অপৱিত্ৰ) অৱস্থাতো নহয় যেতিয়ালৈকে তোমালোকে গুছল নকৰা, কিন্তু মুছাফিৰ হ’লে সেইটো সুকীয়া কথা; আৰু যদি তোমালোকে অসুস্থ হোৱা অথবা ভ্ৰমণত থকা নাইবা তোমালোকৰ কোনোবাই শৌচাগাৰৰ পৰা অহাৰ পিছত অথবা তোমালোকে নাৰী সম্ভোগ কৰাৰ পিছত পানী নোপোৱা তেন্তে পৱিত্ৰ মাটিৰ দ্বাৰা তায়াম্মুম কৰা, এতেকে তোমালোকে নিজৰ মুখমণ্ডল আৰু হাত মছেহ কৰা; নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ পাপ মোচনকাৰী, ক্ষমাশীল।

قُلْ مَا كُنْتُ بِدْعًا مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَمَا أَدْرِي مَا يُفْعَلُ بِي وَلَا بِكُمْ ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ

কোৱা, ‘ৰাছুলসকলৰ মাজত ময়েই নতুন নহয়। মই এই কথাও নাজানো যে, মোৰ আৰু তোমালোকৰ বিষয়ে কি কৰা হ’ব। মই কেৱল মোৰ প্ৰতি যি অহী কৰা হয় সেইটোৰহে অনুসৰণ কৰো। মই এজন সুস্পষ্ট সতৰ্ককাৰী মাত্ৰ’।

وَأَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ ۖ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ ۚ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنْكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا ۚ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَٰكِنْ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَا آتَاكُمْ ۖ فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ ۚ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ

আৰু আমি তোমাৰ প্ৰতি সত্যসহ কিতাব অৱতীৰ্ণ কৰিছো, ইয়াৰ পূৰ্বে অৱতীৰ্ণ হোৱা কিতাবসমূহৰ সত্যতা প্ৰতিপন্নকাৰী আৰু সেইবোৰৰ তদাৰককাৰীৰূপে। এতেকে আল্লাহে যি অৱতীৰ্ণ কৰিছে সেই অনুযায়ী তুমি সিহঁতৰ বিচাৰ নিষ্পত্তি কৰা আৰু যি সত্য তোমাৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিছে সেইটো এৰি সিহঁতৰ প্ৰবৃত্তিৰ অনুসৰণ নকৰিবা। তোমালোকৰ প্ৰত্যেকৰে বাবে আমি একোটাকৈ চৰীয়ত আৰু স্পষ্ট পথ নিৰ্ধাৰণ কৰি দিছো। আৰু আল্লাহে ইচ্ছা কৰিলে তোমালোকক এটা উম্মত কৰিব পাৰিলেহেঁতেন, কিন্তু তেওঁ তোমালোকক যি প্ৰদান কৰিছে তাৰ দ্বাৰা তোমালোকক পৰীক্ষা কৰিব বিচাৰে। সেয়ে তোমালোকে সৎকামত প্ৰতিযোগিতা কৰা। আল্লাহৰ পিনেই তোমালোক সকলোৰেই প্ৰত্যাৱৰ্তনস্থল। এতেকে তোমালোকে যি বিষয়ত মতভেদ কৰিছিলা, সেই বিষয়ে তেওঁ তোমালোকক অৱগত কৰাব।
