SHAB-E-BARAT / SHAB-E-QADR - NIGHT OF DESTINY / DECREE by Zia Mahmood
SHAB-E-BARAT / SHAB-E-QADR - NIGHT OF DESTINY / DECREE
This is an acute example of how misguided, manipulative Traditional Mazhabies are.
[97:1] Indeed, We brought it down in the Night of Decree.
[97:2] And how would you know what the Night of Decree is?
[97:3] The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
[97:4] The angels and the Ruh descend therein by their Lord's permission with every command.
[97:5] Peaceful it is until the break of dawn.
It is common in Quran to describe past events in present tense and future events in past tense. For example, following verses talks about the Day of Qiamat but written in past and present tense.
[54:1] The Hour has drawn near and THE MOON HAS SPLIT..
[54:2] And if they see a sign, they turn away and say, "Incessant magic!"
[54:3] They denied and followed their personal desires, but every matter has its time of settlement.
[54:4] News has indeed come to them, which contained deterrents
[54:5] of profound wisdom, but the warnings have been of no avail.
[54:6] So turn away from them. On the Day the caller calls to something terrible,
[54:7] with subdued eyesight they will emerge from the graves as if they were spread out locusts.
[54:8] Hastening to the caller, the disbelievers WILL SAY, " THIS IS A DIFFICULT DAY!".
Another example,
[39:68] The horn was blown whereupon all who are in the heavens and the earth werestruck unconscious except those whom God willed to spare. Then it was blown another time whereupon they all arose looking on.
[39:69] And the earth shone with the Light of its Lord, and the record was laid down, and the prophets and the witnesses werebrought forth. Judgement was passed among them with the truth and they were not wronged.
[39:70] Every self was paid in full for what it had done. He knows best what they do.
[39:71] Those who disbelieved were driven to Hell in throngs. When they got to it, its gates were opened and its custodians saidto them, "Did messengers from among you not come to you reciting the revelations of your Lord to you and warning you about the meeting of this Day of yours?" They said, "Yes, but the decree of punishment was justified upon the disbelievers."
[39:72] It was said, "Enter the gates of Hell wherein you shall permanently remain." What a miserable home for the arrogant!
[39:73] Those who revered their Lord were ushered to Paradise in throngs. When they got to it and its gates were opened, its custodians said to them, "Peace be upon you, you have been good. Therefore, enter it where you shall permanently remain."
97.1 talks about bringing down Quran. Let us find out when Quran is 'BROUGHT DOWN".
[44:2] and the clear Book.
[44:3] We BROUGHT IT DOWN IN A BLESSED NIGHT. We have indeed warned.
[44:4] In it, every wise command is made distinct.
Verse 2.185 confirms the same - Ramadan is the month during which the Quran is revealed......"
Brought Down vs. Revealed -
[20:113] And thus We brought it down as an Arabic Quran, and We diversified therein the warnings so that they may be reverent or that it may provide them with a reminder. [20:114] Exalted is God, the King, the Truth. DO NOT RUSH THE QURAN BEFORE ITS REVELATION TO YOU IS CONCLUDED, and say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."
So, Quran is brought down at once IN A BLESSED NIGHT and revealed to Prophet gradually.
So, 97.4 is not happening every year. It already happened 1400 years ago when Quran was brought down by Ruh.
Sorry, you missed it.
