Property as an Idol

18:32 Cite for them the example of two men: we gave one of them two gardens of grapes, surrounded by date palms, and placed other crops between them.

The Quran cites many examples of the different gods that people worship beside God; they include children (7:190), religious leaders and scholars (9:31), property (18:42), dead saints and prophets (16:20, 35:14, & 46:5), and the ego (25:43)rk.

৭:১৯০

فَلَمَّا آتَاهُمَا صَالِحًا جَعَلَا لَهُ شُرَكَاءَ فِيمَا آتَاهُمَا ۚ فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

তাৰ পিছত যেতিয়া তেওঁ সিহঁতক এজন পূৰ্ণাঙ্গ সুসন্তান দান কৰিলে, তেতিয়া সিহঁতক তেওঁ যি প্ৰদান কৰিছে সেই বিষয়ে সিহঁতে বহুতো অংশীদাৰ (শ্বৰীক) নিৰ্ধাৰণ কৰিলে। প্ৰকৃততে সিহঁতে যিসকলক (তেওঁৰ লগত) অংশী স্থাপন কৰে, আল্লাহ তাতোকৈ বহু উৰ্দ্ধত।

৯:৩১

اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا إِلَٰهًا وَاحِدًا ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

সিহঁতে আল্লাহৰ বাহিৰে সিহঁতৰ পণ্ডিত আৰু সংসাৰ-বিৰাগীসকলক সিহঁতৰ ৰবৰূপে গ্ৰহণ কৰিছে আৰু মাৰইয়ামৰ পুত্ৰ মছীহকো। অথচ এক ইলাহৰ ইবাদত কৰাৰ বাবেই তেওঁলোক আদিষ্ট হৈছিল। যাৰ বাহিৰে আন কোনো সত্য ইলাহ নাই।[1] সিহঁতে যি অংশী স্থাপন কৰে তাৰ পৰা তেওঁ অতি পৱিত্ৰ!

১৮:৪২

وَأُحِيطَ بِثَمَرِهِ فَأَصْبَحَ يُقَلِّبُ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَىٰ مَا أَنْفَقَ فِيهَا وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُشْرِكْ بِرَبِّي أَحَدًا

ফলত তাৰ ফল-সম্পদ বিপৰ্যয়ে বেৰি ধৰিলে আৰু গছবোৰ হেন্দালিৰ সৈতে ভাঙি-চিঙি পৰি থকা দেখি সি তাত যি ব্যয় কৰিছিল তাৰ বাবে হাত মোহাৰি মোহাৰি আক্ষেপ কৰি ক’লে, ‘হায়, মই যদি মোৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ লগত কাকো অংশী নকৰিলোহেঁতেন’!

১৬:২০

وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْئًا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ

আৰু সিহঁতে আল্লাহৰ বাহিৰে যিবোৰক আহ্বান কৰে সিহঁতে একোৱেই সৃষ্টি কৰিব নোৱাৰে, বৰং সিহঁতকেই সৃষ্টি কৰা হয়।

২৫:৪৩

أَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُ هَوَاهُ أَفَأَنْتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا

তুমি সেইজন ব্যক্তিক দেখিছানে, যিয়ে নিজ প্ৰবৃত্তিক ইলাহৰূপে গ্ৰহণ কৰিছে? তথাপিও তুমি তাৰ দায়িত্ব গ্ৰহণ কৰিবানে?

The Quran gives examples of many false gods, idolized by people; such as children (7:90), religious leaders and scholars (9:31), money and wealth (18:42), dead saints and prophets (16:20; 35:14; 46:5), and wishful thinking (25:43, 45:23). Satan, in order to infect his subject with polytheism, first introduced a deficient and false definition of polytheism (shirk) thereby eliminating any potential self-criticism mechanism. Therefore, polytheists, generally reject the fact that they are polytheists (6:23; 6:148; 16:35). See 19:81.edip.

لَٰكِنَّا هُوَ اللَّهُ رَبِّي وَلَا أُشْرِكُ بِرَبِّي أَحَدًا
‘কিন্তু তেৱেঁই আল্লাহ, মোৰ ৰব; আৰু মই মোৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ লগত কাকো(anyone or "anything") অংশী নকৰো’।

📍Verse/Note:
18:38 But as for myself, [I. know that] He is God, my Sustainer; and I cannot attribute divine powers to any but my Sustainer."

Note.
Lit., "I shall not for "do not"] associate anyone [or "anything"] with my Sustainer" - i.e., "I cannot associate in my mind wealth or poverty with any power or creative cause other than Him"(as).
